Grilled Balsamic Steak

  • 4 (6- to 8-ounce) boneless beef chuck-eye steak
  • 2/3 cup balsamic vinaigrette
  • 1/4 cup fig preserves
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon freshly ground pepper
  • 1 (6.5-ounce) container buttery garlic-and-herb spreadable cheese


Mix vinaigrette, figs preserves in a blender until there are no visible lumps.
Soak steaks in vinaigrette mixture overnight or for a couple of hours.
Grill or broil until desired degree of doneness is achieved.
Season with salt and pepper.
In a small saucepan heat cheese on low stirring often until melted this should take a
only few minutes. Pour cheese sauce over steak and enjoy!

(Phase 3 recipe some modifications will need to be made for phase 2 with reference to cheese
sauce and also portion accordingly)
